Essential Information for Arriving Passengers

CSMIA enables an efficient arrival process for both domestic and international passengers. Upon landing, travellers proceed through Immigration (for international arrivals), Customs, and baggage collection.

Passengers requiring special assistance may visit the information desk for support.

International passengers must proceed to Immigration with their passport, visa, and arrival card ready.

Domestic passengers do not need to go through immigration procedures.

The display screens will indicate the baggage belt number for checked-in luggage by flight.

Customs Declaration:
Green Channel: for passengers with nothing to declare.
Red Channel: for passengers carrying dutiable goods.

After clearing the Customs area, passengers can explore shopping and dining options before exiting.

The Arrival Hall is designated for meeting family, friends, or pre-arranged transport.

Transport options:
Pre-arranged transport – accessible in the multi-level car park.
Taxis, app-based cabs, and shuttle services – available outside the terminal.

Inter-terminal Transfer

A free shuttle service operates between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Pick-up points:
  • Terminal 2 – Level 1, Ground Transportation (P4).
  • Terminal 1 – Between Departure Gates 1 & 2.
  • Immigration

    • Passengers must follow signs to the Arrival Immigration Hall.
    • Passports and visas should be ready before reaching Immigration.
    • For concerns or assistance, passengers may contact AFRRO/ FRO/ SSP at Immigration.

    Customs

    Important: Failure to declare dutiable goods or providing incorrect information may result in confiscation, fines, or legal penalties. Carrying restricted items, such as undeclared gold, is a serious offence and can lead to arrest and prosecution. For detailed information on duty-free allowances and customs regulations, visit the Indian Revenue Department website.

    Passengers can use ATITHI @Indian Customs mobile app, developed by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Ministry of Finance. This app allows international travellers to digitally declare baggage, goods, and currency, ensuring a faster and more convenient experience.
