

Passenger Assistance for Missing Belongings
Passengers who misplace or find an item at CSMIA can report it to the Lost and Found service. Unclaimed items are documented and stored under the supervision of the Duty Terminal Manager.

How to Find and Report Lost Items
If you happen to lose your baggage or belongings at any of the terminals at CSMIA, rest assured we’ve got you covered. Any unclaimed items are deposited under the Lost & Found property through the Duty Terminal Manager, ensuring proper documentation, including:
- A detailed record of the item's contents and description
- The date and time of reporting
- The depositor’s signature
Key information
- Unclaimed Items: Stored at the airport for up to 24 hours before being transferred to a warehouse. Items can be collected between 09:30 and 17:30, excluding the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
- Perishable Items: Stored for up to 48 hours or until the expiry date, whichever is earlier. Items are disposed of with the approval of the Duty Terminal Manager.
- Baggage Handling: The management and delivery of checked-in baggage are the responsibility of the respective airlines. If passengers leave items on board an aircraft, they should contact the airline directly. To visit your concerned airline website click here

Any such item will be appropriately processed as per the guidelines. Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) is not liable for any wear, damage, alteration, or modification that may occur to these items during the time of their storage.
Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) does not offer courier or postal services for lost items, nor insurance or any similar coverage. Items found shall be stored responsibly in line with the retention/storage policy. To reclaim a lost item, individuals must follow the outlined process, including verification of identity and proof of ownership. A valid government-issued ID, boarding pass/ticket, and an authorisation letter (if the item is being collected on someone’s behalf) would be required. Items that remain unclaimed will be managed as per Mumbai International Airport's (MIAL) retention policy.
